For the performing artist, touring in the U.S. can be enormously rewarding. But getting in to the U.S. can be very difficult. In most situations, foreign performers need special visas to enter the U.S., but getting these visas can be expensive, slow, and confusing. Most touring performers get the help of a visa professional when they are coming to the US, and most turn to Tamizdat. Tamizdat's friendly staff is made up of arts professionals who understand your needs, and who work to get you the visa you need, affordably, and on time.
This web site will give you a good sense of how the process works. If you are considering working with us, you can get a good sense of the process if you take a moment to look through the pages, especially the FAQ. If you still have questions or if you know you want to work with us, please contact email@example.com
, and we will get you started in the right direction.
What we do, and what we don't do...
Tamizdat processes information provided by artists and their management, prepares the necessary forms and supporting documentation, obtains the necessary union consultations, submits this material to USCIS, and ensures that the petition is received and processed. Tamizdat may assist the artist in obtaining visas from their local embassy, but it is the customer's responsibility to research and complete local procedures for obtaining physical visas from their local consulate. Tamizdat's staff members do not act as licensed attorneys, and no attorney-client relationship is established when communicating with Tamizdat's staff. Legal advice can be provided only in the course of an attorney-client relationship with reference to all the facts of a specific situation.
